Cookies and local storage

Cookies are small pieces of data that a website may ask a browser to retain and send with later requests. localStorage and sessionStorage are browser storage areas that are separate from cookies and are not automatically sent to the server.

What hestix.it uses today

In the verified version, website code sets no cookies, writes nothing to localStorage, and loads no analytics, marketing, advertising or profiling tools.

There is no Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, gtag, Meta Pixel, fingerprinting or third-party iframe. CSS, JavaScript, fonts and images are served locally.

Strictly necessary mechanism

Name: react-router-scroll-positions (sessionStorage). Purpose: temporarily retain scroll positions for navigation and restore them where appropriate. Duration: browser session. The value contains navigation keys and scroll coordinates, not an analytics or advertising identifier.

Name: react-router-manifest-version (sessionStorage). Purpose: prevent repeated navigation attempts with an out-of-date route manifest during an update. Duration: browser session; it is created only in the relevant mismatch case. It is not used for analytics, profiling or advertising.

Why you do not see a cookie banner

hestix.it shows no consent banner because the current version uses no profiling cookies, advertising trackers, analytics or other non-essential technologies that require a choice.

This is a deliberate data-minimisation choice. Consistent with applicable rules, no prior consent is requested when the site uses no optional technology that requires it. If that changes, the appropriate consent mechanism will be introduced before the new technology is activated.

Cookies sent by the server

The Apache preview of the production artifact returns no Set-Cookie header on the pages tested. The complete production virtual-host and hosting configuration is not in the repository and must be checked again before go-live.

External links

The voluntary link to app.hestix.it does not preload application resources or create cookies on its behalf on the public page. After the click, the destination service operates in its own context.

Future changes

If analytics, marketing or other technologies requiring consent are introduced in the future, this policy and the relevant consent mechanism will be updated before they are activated.

Optional scripts must not load before the user's choice; refusal must be possible and the website must remain usable without those tools.
